Starting Problem TD5
Hi,
Just bought a 2003 TD5 and when you leave it under a quarter full for an hour or so it become really hard to start taking up to 10seconds to crank over. Has anyone else experienced this? Possible fix?

get your battery tested or starter serviced, or could be fuel pump on way out.
this is what i determined when mine was starting slowly recently, fixed with a new battery.

I don't think it would be the starter or the battery at this stage because it only happens when the fuel is down below a quarter full. Otherwise it turns over first time no hesitation what so ever.
