Horn beeps when locking
When I lock the car with the key the horn beeps to warn me that one of the doors is still open, also the interior light often stays on when driving for the same reason. Sometimes slamming a couple of doors will fix the problem and I am pretty sure I know which door it is.
Question is how do I fix it? Will it be the whole locking mechanism?
Anybody else had this problem?

It'll almost certainly be just a faulty switch or earth on one of the doors.
Just go around all the switches, visual inspection, clean up the contacts and then re-seat. Don't forget the one on the bonnet too!

OK
But where are they? I thought they were in the lock mech itself?

Happens when a door isn't closed fully. Check the bonnet switch, the bracket it clips into can bend easily and may need "adjustment" or the switch is not seated correctly in it. Took weeks to work out on mine happened after I replaced the engine and it got bent during the process. A few confused dealers and specialists when confronted with "I replaced the engine and now the horn goes off when locking".
