Thanks, feel a bit silly for asking it. I was worried there was a 3rd fuse box I didn't know about on the passenger side of the car, phew. I will know for next time

RAVE isn't particularly consistent. It refers to engine compartment / under bonnet fuse box, and passenger compartment / main fuse box.

The owners manual uses engine compartment fuse box and main fuse box respectively.

It's just a bit easier to use known terminology than or describe the location

Dont know the ratio, but think left hand drive, and manuals made for both versions. Then the fuse box is in the passenger compartment.

Depending on which rave you have. some have the NAS North American version. Then there is the Rest of world Rave that has a section for Australian spec

UPDATE : another miserable raining day, with no cover to work under. I pressed the phlip and lo and behold the central locking worked.
put the key in ignition and got the 6 bells. A quick check with hawkeye in programming found the setting for seat belt warning chime was activated. IO changed that to no warning sound. I checked all exterior lighting, all was ok ,except the in headlight park light on the near side was fainter than the off side one. Demister button light, rear window washer buttons worked.
as if nothing was amiss Go Figure?
When the rain eases over the next few days, I will pull the fuse box out and check for corrosion.
There was no wet patch of carpet in the driver's footwell, I felt as best as I could the wiring behind the fuse panel and could feel and wetness.
