Thread: TD5 Rough running at cold start

I had a case where the car was difficult to start sporadically and then would conk out after some rough running and had a whining fuel pump. Pump replaced (twice), fuel filter mod done per some technical bulletin and finally injector seals done and it was all good from there. The techs simply worked their way forward from the fuel tank.

Yesterday I put some dipstick oil and a dollop of new oil on a white piece of paper. Here ate the results. I'm pretty sure the motor oil has diesel in it. Plus the oil level went up a couple of mm...

It's booked in to have the copper washers done Monday week. Can't drive it till then anywat until the fuel pump turns up from the UK!
