in a pinch any 0/40 or 10/40 will do the job.
synthetics better than mineral (generally)
once you're out of the poo, change the oil and the filters so you're running a known single brand.

TdiautoManual d1 (gave it to the Mupion)

If you've benefited from one or more of my posts please remember, your taxes paid for my skill sets, I'm just trying to make sure you get your monies worth.
If you think you're in front on the deal, pay it forwards.
Must be 5w/30,fully synthetic.
Any brand will do,but as above specs.
I use Mobil 1 fully syn 10/40. So far so good
Thanks lads.....................ended up flat bedding Smokey to be on safe side. Looks like a possible massive leak crank shaft seal?? plus oil flicked everywhere so fanbelt starting to shred......so not charging alternator so wouldn't even start and also rear airbag rooted......happy birthday to me......not,

i had that with mine, the harmonic balancer ($950) died which also caused the seal behind it (camshaft) to start letting go and also destroyed a belt.
fixed up and good as new again.![]()
