Thread: Disco Service Gold Coast

We are from Perth travelling around Oz in our 2003 Series 2 4L V8 petrol and caravan. We have had 2 Rangies and the Disco for about 4 years.We are working in Byron Bay and came up to the Gold Coast to get a 120,000 service. Tell me if I'm being a bit tight but I thought several items over the top, leaking master cylinder( no unit available in Oz) changeover recon unit supplied and fittted $759.67.Just found Unit cost $296.23
The 3 Amigos were up so to hook up the computer and cancel,also showed possible fault fault with shuttle valve althought fault did clear. $322.17.
Replaced plug leads I had replaced only 12000 k ago Kit $154.55.
Total bill $1946.35

Seems very expensive.

In no way should fitting the clutch master cylinder cost 460$

It's about an hours work at the most.

322$ just for a diagnostics read? really?!?!

Normally that would be 50$ or so I would have thought.
