    Thanks for the info

To all thanks for the replies, sorry should have provided a bit more info on the tug, we have a 2003/4 TD5 manual the only engine mode is an egr bypass (bum on seat dino thinks did emprove things a little). Have towed a number of different things with mixed results, soft floor camper weighing in with an atm of 750kg average 11-12 ltr/100 km, hard floor camper atm of 1500kg 14-15 ltr/100 km, 22ft pop top atm of 2200 kg 16/18 ltr/100km. Now looking at a 23ft semi off road family van with a tare of 1850kg and atm of 2750kg and was trying to guess what out come would be on fuel budget, was hoping to stay under 20ltr/100 km maybe around 16/18ltr. Again thanks and sorry post was vague.

Mate our D2 is a 03 and the only mod was removal to air suspension. I would say you will achieve the 16/18 easy, i found with the heavier van everyuthing worked really well when i kept the revs up so the turbo was on the edge and ready to go when i needed, i found at the slower speed i lost out way to much trying to get up hills and slopes but at around 105 with 2.5t behind i would only lose about 10 to 15 kph
