    Disco Classic 2004 - Auto Trans

    My "M" and "S" warning lights are coming on. Is this a common problem? Any tips on how I can resolve the problem in my garage?

    Battery could be on the way out. I can't remember what the explanation is but it causes the M ans S to illuminate.

    That makes sense. I have the battery on charge now.

    The error indicates an electrical fault in the transmission system. When selecting Drive the dashboard doesn't know what mode you are in. I have been confined to home for a while and have had the car radio on a fair bit so your explanation makes very good sense.
