Question dash lights heater switch glove box lights

Might be coincidence but have to mention that these lights all decided to stop functioning after a wee trip into the gatta (2 nights...3 days herne spur billy goat bluff 12 river crossings and lots of snow on the way home)
Have pulled the ac unit out and only 1 bulb gone so replaced and put back still no action bulb ok in glove box but no power Had a good look on the Rave CD and it shows a dimmer in there somewhere Any ideas regarding position and what it looks like Do I pull the dash off only to find the bulbs OK or do I keep looking for a dodgey connector Any suggestions welcome cos driving at night with no dash light is not good Cheers PS RH sidelight and parker aren't working either but that may be a different issue

Check fuse 3. (if my memory serves correctly). I had a similar problem not long ago.

Go the fuses, go the fuses.

Light switch is fuse 13 under the bonnet.
R/H tail lights, side light, no plate light are on fuse 33 under dash.
L/H of the above are fuse 11 under dash.

I can't see in my quick look where the instruments get their background light power from.
As you have no R/H lights I'd nearly lay money it's off that side.
Edit...Fuse 3 under the dash(as mentioned) instrument cluster, switch illumination, L/H main headlamp

Out of curiosity I removed the trailer fuse (No 11) so see if I could mimic your fault but couldn't! Instrument lights still worked. Weird.
My vehicle didn't have the dimmer described in the manual so I inserted one in the power lead to the instrument lights.
