Just tested the modulator by bypassing it and going from the turbo straight to the inlet pipe. It made the surging worse.!!!
    any opinions ,please?

Do you mean from the turbo wastegate actuator to the intercooler inlet?

connect a hose from the wastegate actuator (shiny cylinder on turbo) to the hose connection on the turbo outlet way under the ac compressor(black pipe)
The airflexi hose you refer to is the turbo inlet.

Don't like kick downs like my nice cruising rev range of 2000-2500
Got to agree, but sometimes it happens when I don't want it to

If i give it slightly too much boot, i.e i don't have the right revs going up steep hills it usually kicks down. Same if i leave cruise control on up hills, gets to the very end of the hill then kicks down, sends me surging over the top of the hill. which is why i turn it off hahaha

It is possible that the wastegate pre-load has crept up, pushing you into overboost. Before you buy a new Boost control module (the small box that the 3 pipes go into), wind the nut on the wastegate actuator rod down 2-3 turns and retest.
If the surging goes, tigten itback up a turnat a time. When youfind the surge point, back it off half a turn.
    Dave.
