I am in the process of converting my 99TD5 from a non electric seat version to an electric leather seat variety. Ive had a set of seats reshod in some very nice new leather and they look really great. Happy to recommend someone if your looking for something similar.

My issue is I obviously have the non electric seat centre console. Sourcing an electric version is proving a little difficult, or im not looking in the right places. Im happy to be guided past the obvious wreckers and such if anyone knows. Im in sydney.

My question: is there a metal clip or some metal mechanism that attaches to the centre console that allows the electric seat control panel to clip into the centre console? I notice the seat controller has four plastic clips that look like they fit around some kind of bracket.

My last option would be to cut the non electric console and attach the seat controller that way. Im not one for asthetics but the seats look really good so im a bit loathed to just slap in the controllers. They'd also be more prone to damage if they arent proporly fastened to the centre console.

Love to hear from the multitude that have already done this and how they over came the non electric to eletric centre console problem.
