If it isn't in LR packaging it's likely to be an OEM part. In theory this should be made by the same manufacturer as the Genuine LR part, so should be close if not identical to the LR supplied part.

Bearmach sells a range of products, for a variety of sources, some of it is rubbish (from personal experience a front camshaft seal from bearmach was totally stuffed and leaking more than the one it replaced in less 11 months), some of it apparently good quality, but I'd never assume that Bearmach is as good as it gets.

KKB500750 is the current part number for the mounts. The previous, now obsolete part number is KKB102602.

Thanks will look at that closely when putting in new one but don't think I was even pulling 85 with a short handle ratchet. No feel of an end point when it was tight and just kept doing up to pop!

I always thought a OEM part (original equipment manufacturer) was a genuine Land Rover part.

If it's not in LR packaging, it's an aftermarket part.

Genuine parts are those that come in LR packaging and which are marked with LR part codes.

OEM parts are those manufactured by a supplier of components to the vehicle maker. Strictly applied only parts manufactured by the same company that supplies those parts to LR could legitimately claim to be a supplier of OEM parts. Unfortunately some seller stretch that to include vendors that claim to make parts to "OEM Quality". OEM parts do not come with LR markings or packaging. Karkraft in Sydney class these as "A" parts

AllMakes/terraFirma add another classification PR2 which they claim designates a part supplied by a reputable manufacturer - these tend to be well know names in the automotive parts industry. The will come in the manufacturers packaging. Karkraft class these as "B" parts.

The bottom tier is the "cost effective" "pattern" parts, which are made to fill a demand for cheap spares, with longevity and quality a secondary concern (if at all). Karkraft class these as "C" parts. If you pick the lowest price on any of the UK supplier sites this generally what you'll get. I'd personally reserve these for a vehicle you don't really care about, or are fixing to flog.

I need mounts does anyone have experience with the Karcraft <A> quality mounts?

Just popped in the Bearmach one and it is running sweat. Even though it was in a Bearmach package I noted a very small land rover mark on the rubber.
