    Disco2/V8, no spark

    I have an issue with my Disco 2/V8 (Yom 2000) with intermittent running and failing to start. The non starting is due to no spark coming thru to the plugs, I suspect it could be a coil(s) thing however I would appreciate any input from others who might have had a similar experience and could offer advice!

    I would be getting fault codes checked. The failure of the crank angle sensor will directly affect the spark, as without it the ECU therefore the coils have no signal. If you could prove that the injectors are firing then I would look at immobiliser circuitry and possibly the wiring plugs on the two coils, which are of course fun to access.

    More than likely a Crank angle sensor as they start being intermittent when hot, then fail altogether. When they fail you get no injector pulse either.
