I assume this is a Disco 2?
Hi Gang
Just had a bumpy ride from Clare Sa to Melb. Very bumpy for three big kids in back. Could not get the self leveling bags to go to normal level and I assume they went to a Limp home status.
Story starts I believe when the ABS shut down 10 months ago. Four lights came on, downhill, hand brake, ABS, (can't think of the other). Did not appear to affect the vehicle other than no ABS.
But then bags started to go down when parked not quite square over night. But would level when started again.
I read that the ABS, self leveling and auto cornering are all controled by the same chip.
What can I do without sending it to Port Melb and paying a couple of grand for them to look at it?
Cheers

Correct. Series II.
I just went out to check what would happen if I started it. And it leveled.

Went out and fired it up this morning and up she went.

the deflating bags is surely a leak issue. they have a finite life and you should replace quickly as the added duty on the weak pump will cause it to burn out. bags are cheap imported from uk vendors pump very expensive.
the bag change is a simple DIY job. but do it soon. I would think your 3 or 4 amigo problem is separate.

put some detergent in a spray bottle and fill with water, raise the rear in offroad mode and sray the airbags with the soapy water. pretty sure you will soon find the culprit is the airbags. most likely culprit. as stated replace sooner rather than later as if left this will lead to premature wearing of the compressor that will be running a lot more often than it is designed for.
