early fuel detonation,, The D2 has a sensor just for this and will adjust the timing to stop it.
From that it all gets a bit hazy,,
I know the engine MUST ping once to get the tune to adjust, but these things "tune" themselves hundreds of times a minute, so how long till it leans out the mixture until the engine pings again??

Now run 520k Urban on 95 Ron, previously 450 -480 on 91 and engine sounding a little rougher. Just filled with 98 and done 340k on 1/2 a tank up the free way and a few local K's where we're staying on holiday
Engine very smooth and the lumpy tick over at idle has gone!
