    help unlocking

I've been on holidays for a month and the disco has been locked up and hasn't moved. Tried to unlock with remote with no go (battery may have run down, though almost new?). But to make matters worse, the lock barrel on the door spins freely with the key, like the rod has parted company with it. Any ideas on how to get her open???

just an update... the passenger window is down a bit and i've been able to get a long rod onto the inside drivers handle and pull it... did not unlock the door.
Also used the same rod to work the central locking button on the dash...no good...?

This just happened to me. Luckly my key lock worked and could get in the car. As soon as I put the battery charger on everything opened. I was thinking of putting a plug wired to the battery I could access from out side to charge the battery if this happened to me and could not get in.

Do you have any wires to the trailer plug that could give the battery a bit of charge to get the remote working.
    Cheers, David.

Try putting the battery charger direct to the starter motor if no trailer plug or winch.
+ to the main lead, - to the block.

With the window down the alarm system wouldn't have "gone to sleep".
It would have been checking to see if the window was up.
I am lead to believe that with the window down the volumetric sensers would be off too.
    Cheers, Kyle
