    Warning

Today I had the luck to see it hung a few drops of automatic transmission oil under the car so I crawled under to take a look and to my horror discovered that the upper pipe to the automatic transmission oil cooler was loose the whole nut was loose on the gear box and could be rotated several turns with fingers. I have not figured out how to achieve or how to form a tool to tighten it properly so if anyone knows how I am happy if i can get info on how you made. so with this, i ask you all to look under your car so not this tube is lose for the gear box empties quickly. my car is a disco 2-04 of 23 0000 km on the meter and it is common that all have the same problem. it would be nice to hear if anyone else has encountered this problem.greif

Usually they are hard to undo. Has your car had a transmission service?

I know they are hard usually as hard as the hydraulic pipes on the truck or excavator, but in my case it was loose, so if mine is loose, there may be more who have the same problem and when it takes 1 minute to look instead of run it dry of oil. the problem is just to access it so you know that it's stuck in the future. If there is one who reads this and finds the same problems that I saw on my disco then I think this Warning is justified. no service is made so it does not depend on it, this tube sits on top so I dont know how to do unintentional damage to it

I found this thread when I was looking a bit on the internet it sounds like a similar problem Land Rover Repair: Landrover Discovery 2 transmission leak, land rover discovery 2, land rover discovery if it is the same problem?, it seems that a service can be the evil in that case just a shame that you not can see the answer. in my case it was not serviced since November 2011.
