What was the roo situation like between there and here at the relevent time (guessing not as bad as say doing it early morning)
I might have left earlier than I thought. As I was back in Bendigo by 8:30ish. And it was December so daylight savings.
So Roos weren't a big issue.

    3. I don't get chimes on start up. (unless the 3 amigoes go off)
at start up turn ignition so all dash lights are on and wait--
You can tell who has the later, CDL aware SLABS ECU's fitted to their D2

The SRD000150 and SRD500070 SLABS ECU's fitted to the 03MY and 04MY D2's, (and possibly fitted by LR to solve ABS sensor related issues on earlier D2's) do a self-diagnostic check on start-up. If you wait until the seat belt light extinguishes, you hear three chimes which indicate the self-test has been completed and no errors have been flagged.

1999-2002MY D2's with the original SLABS ECU or SRD000070 which was fitted as part of a recall on the pre-facelift D2's don't make the three diagnostic chimes.
