    Reversing beeper not working

I am going to look at a D2 HSE on Sunday with the intention to purchase. Having just spoken to the owner he tells me that the reversing beeper does not work. When put into reverse it beeps once, but won't work after that. Any one here know anything about these?

He also tells me that the passenger sun visor won't stay up. He has a cloths peg holding it. I know this is probably nothing but if it needs a new one, being a HSE I do not want any nasty shocks to the hip pocket.
    Dave.

I was asked " Is it ignorance or apathy?" I replied "I don't know and I don't care."

Cool My beeper did not work

As I said it did not work albeit a different model as I have a 2000 td5 disco..
problem was blowing Fuses and loosing trailer brakes brake lights and cruise control ...Reverse lighte=, Brake lights and cruise control all tie together on a common earth,,,,fault for mine was in the reverse loom down near gear box....fixed that and every thing works...would ask him what if anything else does not work...could throw more light on subject....best of luck

Every thing else works fine. He told me that he had the same problem about a year ago, could not remember exactly what it was but thinks it was a sensor. He is going to ring the workshop that fixed it to find out. I thought I might ask here to see if anyone else has had this problem

Had no idea they were a factory option either.
A cheap easy option is to get a reversing light globe with a built in beeper, pretty sure Narva makes them.

Obviously a misunderstanding. I am talking about the device that beeps in the cabin as you are reversing, to indicate how close you are to an object, not a beeper to warn people that you are reversing.

    They're called reverse sensors.

The ones in my HSE work intermittently. I remove the rear bar a while ago and since then they have played up a lot.
