    Good idea - but how did you manage to get the RAVE PDF's onto your iPhone? !
    Cheers

    I have just done one of those 5000 mile trips from Denver up into Canada and back down spending time with family in Sandpoint Idaho, then doing some "down home folksy cowboy stuff" in Wyoming, USA's least populous state with only about 5 people per sq mile.

    Hmmm... sound like a good part of the country to go for a drive in. Just a bit green with envy.....

    Greetings to you in Brizzie.
    Well if you can swing it some time come on over.
    Always a welcome for Aussie LR enthusiasts and I bet I could scare up a decent running LR for you but it would be a left hooker!

    Petrol is cheap in Wyoming at US $3.17 a US gallon. Montana is $3.54

    For interest I often go up to where my missus comes from; as mentioned Sandpoint;
    See:-

    We stayed on the US side at Dover Bay. renting a 20' ski boat and got the kids tubing on the wake at 30 knots, lots of fun!

    Good fun with the Canuct LR crowd doing lakeside barbies comparing US steaks to Canadian ones! Oh and we didn't forget the beer!
    Cheers & best regards

    the Main tracks within the Ranges aren't bad, mainly gravel and river bed rocks. Only issue we had was stones rebounding from our camper trailer, but your not camping.
    Yes we're hoping to stick to daylight driving. My wife has been worried that i'd swipe the Hella lights of her x-trail!

    Hoping to be OK. Just replaced the Serpentine Belt as per the service etc. Hoses are all good.

    Considering changing the water pump and thermostat. My dad is a mechanic and coming of fro m the UK to visit in November. These parts in Birmingham are less than $50 for both!. Given they are 10 years old and the weaker point of the cooling system I may do that..

    Dad always used to have me carry a few spares like that for my old crown, and given not every town has dealerships though most haev mechanics, it could be a big time saver not to have to get stuff delivered in the event of what could be a fast repair if you had things with you. Though you sound already covered, was thinking of buying a set to live in my vehicle

    Keep them in the packaging and they will be sweet. Mostly likely made a year or so ago already too..
