    RWC Shopping list?

    Brakes Pads $140 a set
    Disc Rotors $100 ea (X2)
    Tailshaft Coupling $230
    Tyres $245 (X2)
    windscreen $260

    I'm happy with the windscreen cost, and I've found a compromise with t he tyres (yes I'd like to have kept the same quality on but no, not th is year whenI've got to get it through a RWC thats going to cost $1600 on top of normal rego and stamp duty but are there significant improvements to be had with the others or do they sound fair pricing?

    Also 'left hand rear parker'... would that be the little brake light down low in the bumper? (apparently mine is 'dull', like me lol)

    Is that all installed? If so it looks okay, I just put some discs on mine last week, $180 for discs, pads were $140 a few months back, for parts only.

    Tyre costs look right, only the tailshaft coupling looks expensive - I ordered one from the UK for $40 I think and it took me 30 minutes to fit. It's on the money for local supply though.

    Tyres - I paid $280 for bridgestone dueller AT's last year on 16" rims.

    Dull light bulb will probably be down to a bad earth connection, trace that and a few minutes cleaning up the connection should sort it.

    Yep price was all installed;
    Found a cheaper tailshaft coupling if its the right one;
    Rubber Tailshaft Coupling Kit Land Rover Discovery 2 & Disco 1 - 4WD Spare Parts | Toyota | Nissan | Land Rover | Landcruiser | Patrol | Prado | Land Cruiser All 4x4

    Not as cheap as yours but in the country already at least

    if you look closely it's not a genuine GKN, there are no stamping in the rubber, probably aftermarket.
    Genuine GKN will have GKN and made in Germany on them We had some aftermarket and threw them away you just can't compare the quality of the rubber.

    Yeh.. duh lol, (definition of a redhead is a blonde in disguise) I did have a reason for considering it (no recollection of what that was now..) oh I know, ones close by the other across country.

    But have just found Roverlord mob on Ebay, and will go with them. The mechanic is quite adamant we only need the coupling itself, but I might get the whole kit just in case, it is still less than half the price quoted to me from a local supplier and it is the GKN
