Being a late model D2, it is very unlikely that it has an aftermarket chip in it. It is more likely had the factory ECU flashed with a new tune map onto the standard chip.
Why not call Barbagallos in Perth and ask them who their supplier is?
I'm about to put a deposit on a 2003 Discovery TD5 SE. The owner tells be Barbagallos in Perth chipped it when it was year old, but he is not sure what brand etc it is. He just know it goes extremely well. I'll see it tomorrow after a 400km drive, but I'm interested to see if anyone has a clue as to what Barbagallos would have used?

Is this one of the white td5's on carsales? If so i was going to have a look at it next week but you may have beat me to it.
No. It was the $14,500 green 2003 on Gumtree. I passed that one up. I've seen a couple of white 2003 -2004 Discos. Was the one you talk about private or a yard? The yard one has 105k on it and immaculate but is petrol. $15,500 I think? The other is a 2004 private. Also another with a winch bar and with rope. A nice 2001 model sold just before I looked at it. New auto, trans, $600 spent on motor. I'm feeling slightly peeved after traveling 900km today for nothing.
I meant $6000 0n motor.
Private I think. I had a look at one in a yard its the one with 300 000+ km's on it. Its got major dramas. Dodgy salesman there reckoned his mechanic gave it a clean bill of health. He got a bit upset when i told him his mechanic was a moron. Hopefully you find a good one soon.
I was going to have a quick look at that one. Kms pretty high. Glad you checked it. I have my eye set on the nice looking blue 2004 for 19K. 190,000km, new trans, sounds like it could be worth a look. I'd like to get down to $17,000. Not sure how I'll go. We'll see. The previous guy was offered by 13K by some lune. Might have to go for a drive next weekend.
