I'm thinking it'd be the last of the 2's but registered early 03, it came with the square headlights from new.

Well I finally got her, here's some pics of the girl ImageUploadedByTapatalk1344641530.560781.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1344641563.494316.jpg
I noticed there's a bit of exterior trim missing that holds the door seal in place ImageUploadedByTapatalk1344641638.197763.jpg
The interior is very basic on this model

I think some black rims and bull bars will make the Jewish racing gold come alive

There is a sticky with information on build dates and VINS for the various model years:

    http://www.aulro.com/afvb/discovery-...ates-vins.html

Just noticed there is a typo in the build dates for the MY02 - it should be:

    Build Dates: 3 July 2001 to 26 April 2002

Well I had a quick look at the vin and there's no A1 in it, I'll have a closer look tomorrow when I have more time.
It's been recommended to me to have the car chipped? Is it something I can buy myself or do I have to take it to the shop? I'm also thinking about getting a nannocom too, to make myself less dealer reliant.

    Should be 1A if it's a 2001MY or 2A if it's 2002MY.

The EU3 engine was installed for the 2002MY onwards and these have a flashable ECU. You can use the Nanocom to upload the tuned MAP file to the ECU. There are a number of vendors on AULRO who will happily sell you a tuned Map file.

Thanks Off Track, it has a 2A about half way through the VIN.

I just checked the build date on the compliance plate and it's 08/02..... And read your post on vin plates again, I think something is amiss here?

I'm having trouble trying to locate someone or somewhere to get my ecu up graded, I've tried searching the forum but I think using the phone to do this isn't giving me the results I'm after.
I'm based in west gippsland but anywhere in Vic would be good at the moment?
