Ok so there's a single wire in and a pair (or at least a split later) out. One goes to light, the other the SLABS ECU.
The system goes, engine running, CDL activated, TC operates. Engine shutdown and restart then no TC? If switch is in-line and on (actually off so no power signal is sent from switch in tfr to SLABS saying the CDL is on) the TC will stay on no matter what you do with the engine as the SLABS just sees no signal from the tfr.
Thats it. As long as the SLABS cant see the CDL switch is turned on (ie CDL locked), then you will retain the traction control.

How about this: www.discovery2.co.uk/Factory Diff Lock
Straight from the horse's mouth.

And on top, the function for the TC must run through a relay as activating the CDL doesn't shutdown TC whereby from startup, the power from the switch must be pulling a double throw relay thats N/C to activate CDL and turns to N/O when CDL switch is active.
Howdy,
if you cut the wire, do you loose the cdl light on dash?
thanks.
No the dash light works as normal.Originally Posted by discoberry
Not sure but there's either two wires out of the switch on the tfr, one to the light one to the SLABS or it splits off later. But either way it's OK.
The other wire I think relates to high/low range.
