    D2a Intercooler

I've tracked down a D2a intercooler to put into my D2.

    Is it worth fitting?

Getting a snorkel, blanked the ERG off, and previous owner has chipped it.

Over the next month I'm also going to get the centre muffler removed to help it breathe a little better.

    Yes its a better unit...

As long as you're getting a damn nice price...

Yep...go for it. I swapped mine out for the D2a updated one. It has certainly made a difference in low end power, not massively, but definitely noticeable. I picked mine up for $100 so a worthwhile upgrade.

The D2a units are definitely bigger than the D2 units - I have put pictures up here previously in a thread.
They are still not as good as an aftermarket unit, but you should be able to pick one up for between a 1/4 to an 1/8th of the price of an aftermarket unit which makes it a worthwhile upgrade!
