YES, you can go up to 32" without a lift from what i've read here.
OK, I know I'm going to get flack for this, but if there was a direct and to the point picture or answer without saying "this is with a lift" it would be fine...
Will 265/75r16's fit a stock D2, without a lift?
please post a pick if you like of a "stock D2 (no lift)"...![]()

Very interested in the info, after doing a 180 at 60km/h this morning new Tyres are happening tomorrow.
Choice between 245/75/16 & 265/75/16 I know 265 will scrub turning, but does the standard bumper still scrub with a lift, or just when doing off road work?
might Help - no mention of the L word!!!!
For standard D2a, NNNN says biggest are 265/75 (D = 31.65) 9.37% increase over standard possible rubbing
Max = no rubbing? Not a common size? 265/70 (D = 30.61) no rubbing 5.73% increase over standard }no rubbing

I have 265/75/16 mtz muddies on 16x7 standard alloys, car not lifted. They do not rub under normal driving around town, but will hit the bumper at certain uneven angles. This can be fixed with minor trimming that is not unsightly.
Even though they are only 32s you will notice the loss of power though. I am lucky I have diesel gas, so plenty of power to make up for it.
I will be changing diff ratio to 3.75 ashcrofts to get back to nearly normal.
When I had them fitted, the tyre place made all sorts of noises about won't fit, rubbing and the usual cr*p, but they do as I have shown.
By the way, the size of various brands of tyres at 265/75/16 varies considerably even though they are supposed to be the same. Mtzs are a "large" 32" tyre.
Put a mickey Thompson mtz, a maxxis 764 and a bfg km2 together and you will see 3 different shape and size tyres even though they are all 265/75/16s.
Get them though, you won't regret it because they just fit the d2 so well and make the vehicle look so balanced.
Good luck

Thankyou Cucinadio for your timely post.
With the information provided I think I will hit mid ground and get the 245/75/16 and hopefully avoid all the little issues with 265/75/16's but just get a bit more then the standard 235/70/16.
Looks like I am off to buy some tyres![]()
