    fitting winch to D2

Have been searching the forum for a tutorial or piccies that show how to fit a winch, its a new tigerz11 12000, i got a second hand TJM bar off another member and it has a knockout panel on the lower front but not sure how it all fits, does it fit to the rails or need a tray

    Cheers

I have a TJM on mine that has the knock out bits and to my understanding you need a cradle as well, if yours has'nt been touched as in the bits knocked out.I'd say you need the cradle.

    hey

Yes you can fit the bar and yes you need a cradle but you may find the winch is too big I am pretty sure its too long but dont quote me I have a TJM bar off the D2 upgrate fitted to mine with the 9500, I did do a write up on it but I have just taking it off yesturday, So i can remove my TJM cradle and get a few made so can help walk you on the fitting of it.

    fitting winch

Thank you very much for any help you can give me, ive fitted the bar up and fits really well, just cant get my head around how this winch is gunna fit, my bar has a knock out piece for clearence of cable and fairlead so i assume it will fit, looking at it there is plenty of room for a winch but as ive never fitted one i am at a loss how to mount, i have a mig and decent workshop so i am capable of knocking something up, the chassis is too short for a plate across so i guess a soecific cradle would be needed, if you are making one a few piccs would be great or if selling one made up count me in, maybe a sticky could be made for an install, lookin forward for any help and guidance, bought the bar off another forum member and has all been painted, i bought it to specifically put a winch on the veh as i do a lot of prospecting and usually on my own so a winch is my backup in case i get it all wrong, ill post some piccs to let you all see, again thanks for any help you can give me
PS your winch is identical to mine except where your round holes are mine have high lift jacking slots

    Cheers

Hey mate managed to get an hour before the rain and loss of sun light, got the craddle off the car and disconnected my winch.

needed to do all this to open the bonnet after a 13mm drill got it open.

If you can see the pic below you'll see how the cradle sits and the size of the winch takes up,

I'll get a diagram of the cradle up and also will be making a few once i get it in the shop ill get a price up and put out a order page with dates.

the fitting is very easy of the whole thing but remember that the cradle needs to be in before the bar.

hey right got all my gear back the other day will put winch back in on cradle and then bullbar back on so will do a write up about it for you, I got some prices from willy sheet metal to make me a cradle (the TJM one) and not really happy with price unless i get more then 10 made, thinking of getting cutting done then make them at home or pass on parts for the home welders.

I can see the pics and phone a pc dont know why you can not?? sorry

again I know for fact the TJM cradle was for upto a 9500lb dont know how big a 1200 is
