ihave a 99 & 00 d2 v8 which I am wrecking and a 02 td5 which I drive the 00 7 seat had the mirror compass and both the other vehicles have the wiring it is tucked up between the roof panel and the strengthening just above the mirror if you clip out the blank in the overhead above the interior light you can access it through there:pQuote:

My 99 model 5 seat has it! I don't know what spec level mine is but it does have Ace and SLS which might mean mine has all the goodies. No sunroofs or leather though.
MY2003 auto TD5 7 seater, no leather, has it.
Would be hard to go without, BTW how do you get it to read temperature?
Wiring and connectors for the dipping/compass mirror and illuminated sunvisors, is in the 'high-line' wiring harness, which is fitted to the top spec vehicles, as well as lower spec vehicles that were specified with the optional Harman Kardon audio system.
My 1999 XS has the Harman Kardon system and the wiring for all the ES options, even though they weren't actually fitted from the factory (although, some of them are now :D)

Always remember that no matter what the trim spec is there is /was the option of adding stuff . Like ordering the SLS and ACE on a 5 seater when normally it was standard on 7 seat only. And I added the elec mirror and illuminated pass visor from Evil-Bay! :D

11 years in our D1 and after the first trip with the green D2 all opinions defer to the mirror--:Rolling:
My 2000 ES has one, but my 2004 ES does not:(
But then the 2000 ES has heaps of things the later car does not:(:(
