    I must have been a bastard in a prior life

    Well, I finally got my wee beastie back a couple of days ago - replacement ex military rear ended 37K engine is smooth, along with an automatic Transmissions R Us (Balcatta) HD torque converter (similar to Ashcroft?) fitted whilst everything was apart.
    The icing on the cake was a visit to justfishing yesterday where Ian the coded welder replaced my standard exhaust with his old decat version, now he's gone to a 3 inch to help his VTM? breathe. Wow, spools up much quicker and much nicer to drive. Thanks Ian - I reckon I got a good deal as a swap for my 150K radiator.

    Only problem is unusually I had to leave the beast outside overnight and at 0438 bang, the local hoons decided I might have some spare cash in there. As soon as the horn alarm went off after they put a pick through the drivers door glass, they scarpered empty handed, leaving nanocom, gps, loose change and my complete working toolset alone.

    If troubles come in threes, I'm hoping the just found out broken window regulator is the end after a stuffed engine and smashed window.

    I must have done something bad last time around! Oh well, still breathing.

    I've done a separate thread seeking info on pricing/quality for window regulator replacement/s.

    Cheers

    I know how you feel - I can't belive how much time (and money) I've spent on my TD5 this year - I keep hoping the 'routine' stuff will come to an end so I can actually do some enhancements!

    But a least I have haven't had random acts of violence....

    Hopefull the old saying 'what comes around goes around' has some truth in it!!

    I hope so..

    I had a rear badge knocked off the other car (VLT- now retired). I normally wouldn't have been as ****ed if it wasn't straight after a complete back to metal spray job and the rat bag used a screw driver to pry the rear boot badge off which went through the paint, primer
    Badge = $20, Cost of repair = $300
