    So either Landrover or aftermarket suppliers are sourcing them from China
    Probably, nearly every OS supplier i e-mail and ask,
    where the pulley's are made? they tend to go around that question with prices, shipping or simply aren't sure!

    Same here,
    Summer is around the corner,
    Thinking of pulling the radiator, getting it rodded, leak tested as i don't think it's ever been done, need to replace the o-rings in the fuel cooler, couple of drips at startup
    Sort out the pulley while it's all out, probably a new front crank seal while the pulley is off.
    Time to open the wallet!

    ok,grabbed a 6pack(most important) removed fan,belt ,harmonic,made tool(the easy bit) removed pulley.
    Timing cover seal= rooted
    bearing=same same.
    6pac=same same..
    bearing had heaps of play,was DRY but rubber looks ok but hard to tell without a new one to compare it to.
    Replaced 6pack,put tools away,will work it out tomorrow.

    ps .if anyone needs a tool to hold pulley I now have a homemade one.works real well
    pps sorry bout photos haven't tried that yet.

    got off my ass too,
    radiator just about rooted, new bearing in the harmonic balancer, the rubber looked very good. new crank seal, o-rings in the fuel cooler, new radiator on order plus waiting for the new pulley bolt to arrive. quickly ran it and appears no more rumble at the 2000- 2250 rpm range.
    can't wait to get it finished & road test

    We need to get some samples to me so I can visit my local friend who makes aftermarket replacement OEM and racing balancers. Over the years he's developed a few new designs that make them servicable without having to destroy them each time to rebond them with new rubber. Managed to make one to hold together first at 11000rpm in a supra I built and the at 18000 in it's second incarnation.

    :| Ross Performance Engine Parts - Metal Jacket - ROSS Tuffbond Harmonic Balancers - Crankshaft Damper - ROSS Performance Parts |: if you want to talk to him. If anyone has a spare in any condition we can use to measure and price up with let me know.
