    What battery?

    Hi All,

It looks as I may need a new battery.

    For a Discovery 2 td5 auto 2000 - What would be a good battery?

What CCA? Or was that CCR?

    Deep cycle?

    Cheers.

    What CCA?

From the Caterpillar site: they start from CCA 500 to 1500.

    Cheers.

Why not just buy the 'right' one. The battery that's specified in the manual ?

1000 CCA is fine if you're starting a 6 litre Caterpillar Bulldozer but probably a bit of an overkill for a 2.5 litre Td5.

We bought SWMBO's D2a new in 2004 and have replaced the battery once. The replacement battery was a Delcor and identical with the factory original.

What is specified in the manual?

What CCA is in the manual?

There's a CCA1000+ in there now. I figured that's what it needed - hence why I asked in this forum.
