I have just taken one out of my D1 and about to put it in my D2. As Garry said, you never know it is there during normal day to day driving. You will get the old school people saying they are noisy and clunky but the newer ones are quiet and smooth. The only way you know it's there is the car drives over thing a lot easier.
I'm putting the Detroit in my D2 as I already had it from my D1. It is recommended to put heavy duty axles in with them as they can put more strain on the axles.
If I was starting from scratch I would probably get the True Track as they are easier on the axles and drive train and the traction control makes them perform like a full locker.
Cheers, David.
