Hi all,
Just wondering if there is a difference between auto and manual intercoolers?, looking at the ally ones and they are listed separately
I was under the impression that there was an early type which was thinner than the later type, but the manual and autos used the same intercooler. Aftermarket there is a company selling ones specific to the manual that is larger because it uses the space below the intercooler which is normally taken up by the ATF cooler.
Out of interest, I thought the manual ran a transmission cooler in the same spot from the factory.
Edit: As stated above! I was also under the impression that the Australian spec D2's came with a hot climate pack which I thought involved upgraded cooling systems - I'm sure I heard this years ago.
Cheers

D2a update intercooler is larger than the pre facelift D2 models. I'm sure I've read somewhere that it is 35% bigger. I've fitted one to my 2001 D2, but I'm afraid I don't have any pics to show the difference in size.

You're welcome Sidders....Good luck with the Uk trip...
I'm getting my TRS chipped ECU in 10 days or so when I get back to QLD, and I'm looking forward to seeing how it performs with my D2a I/C...
