All though I am sure there is a light that fits down there. The lights will be a waste of money. Driving lights that close to the ground are very in effective.
I would look at getting a light holder that bolts on where the number plate is. Then mount what ever light your budget likes.
Using some good size washers. I dont see why they cant be mounted thru the bumper. I was going to do it that way on a Magna, but a I brought a light holder on an impulse buy from supercheap.
I have driven in cars where people have mounted lights under the bumper and they didnt give any distance.
I put in a traxide wiring upgrade kit and some super white globes and the increase in lighting was enough not to need spotties except for off road extreme requirements.
highly reccomend this upgrade before the bucks of H
ID spots etc.
If you're going for distance I can recommend the FYRLYT's. Not only do they throw incredible amounts of light down the road, but the lens' are kangaroo head proof at 80km +.
Just ask the rest of the front of the disco how I know.
The factory light bar is a pretty nice way of mounting lights if you are running the stock bumper. You have to drop the bumper to mount the bar, as it needs holes drilled through the steel armature which are directly above the crush cans.
The Hella Rallye's are anything special, but more than adequate for the kind of use they get. I've ditched the white plastic covers for a set of black grilles, which has improved the look no end. I have to confess I'm going for a factory accessorised look on the d2, rather than "4by boofhead chic" so your mileage may vary.
