Thread size of diff bolt holes used for QT diff protectors???

I am currently fitting my QT diff protectors (from my old D1) onto the Disco 2. (2000 model)

They all seem to line up right, BUT the thread size of the bolt holes are different... of course!!

I have gone through all my spare bolts with no luck, so will have to purchase some tomorrow, to save the trial and error, does anyone know the correct thread size???

It is the 2 bolt holes on the bottom of the diff housing on the flat section just before the flange.

It is dark now, but if photos are needed, I might be able to sort that in the morning.

    Cheers

Buy screw pitch gauges. You will need one in metric and one in US.

Thanks, I will be buying some soon, but no one in town has them at the moment, so if someone knows the size, or has the guages to check it for me, that would be great as i only have today and tomorrow morning to get it done.

    cheers

I went through the same thing 2 months ago, I think mine was m10 and I ran a tap up the holes, but I am told thread can vary on models

Get into the habit of always quoting the pitch. There are four in common use in fasteners of 10mm. diameter.
