Welcome Nick
I'd suggest you remove the light, and place it lens down on a towel in the sun. If it's condensation it should disappear pretty quickly.
Hi , I have just picked up a disco 2 1999 TD5.
It has condensation inside the NS headlight
Question. I know I will have to remove the light from the body but will metho remove the silvering on the light backing .
Maybe I should use a hair drier and a small piece of rag on a stick.
ALL ideas welcome.

I would not use any solvent in the lights as is can remove the reflective coating. Mine were full of mud so I just some dish washing detergent and water then gave a good shake the rinsed it out with clean water. I then sat it on my ducted heater vent for a few days or put it out in the sun.
The lights just pop out. Just lever it in the corners gently and should come out.
Cheers, David.

Just taken the advice offered on the forum re drying out the lense with a hair dryer...... two hours later it is misting again,.
What is going on here?
Thank you for the advice everyone. I thought solvent would be no good.
I have redone the light a second time with the hair dryer and have just put it back together again. See what happens now.
Headlight all good now. could not have had all the moisture out the first time. Also got through it's roadworthy OK today.
Needed new rear rotors and as the brake pads were over half worn, I got them to put a new set in.
All set to burn tarmac now with the new toy!
Again thanks to those people who took the time to advise a new owner on the forum here.
Regards, Nick.
Welcome to the club, Nick.
I get a lot of water in my lights from the gutter channels on the top of the guards. If you put a silicon sealant dam across this gap, about 200mm up from the lights, most of the water will spill off.
Hope this helps.
Dave.
