New modification rules in QLD
For info, with effect fm 01 Nov Qld has updated it's modification laws to align closer to the national standard. What does this mean for me, I can now increase the size of my tyres by up to 50mm in dia
. Will give a larger range of tyres to choose fm while increasing the already good looks of the D2. A copy of the amendments can be found on the Qld transport web site in the safety section under light veh mods. Enjoy

Hi Chook,
The way I understand it is that basically we can now have a 75mm lift overall.
That is, 50mm suspension lift and 50mm in out tyres. In the old regs we were only permitted an extra 15mm in out tyres.
What a pity, I just put a new set of Goodritch tyres on a cpl of weeks ago.
I have a spare set of rims so I will probably load a set of the new size on them and use them when I go away and keep the standard for general driving.
Were off to the Victorian High Country next April, an extra inch might help down there.
Cheers, Rick.
