I would be checking the intercooler and hoses, Did any get pulled off slightly when moving the engine? Maybe the wastegate is stuck open.
My D2a has been off the road for about a month while I changed the torque converter, steering arms and various other odd and end jobs. Upon driving it today, it seems that the engine is running very rich. It's chewed through the fuel (my vehicle has never been fuel efficient, but it's gotten drastically worse) and is leaving black smoke behind it (indicating running too rich).
The tune was recently supplied by TD5Inside and is a leaner tune to my old one, it was running well previously.
Is it worth reflashing the ECU? Can these get corrupt?

D2a Wastegate
This guy right here on this forum has info on the Wastegate

Hope that helps…
Hi,
If it was running well previously, there is no reason for the ECU data being different...
As said, check your hoses and intercooler and also turbo pressure.
If you can get an hold of a nanocom, make some fuel readings and send them to me via email. I´ll have a look to see if I can find out anything.

Hello,
If your car has been sitting I would be looking at the MAF or your diesel is old had troubles for a while, the ECU tune will never change how ever long you leave your car as stored on the eporm chip. Give your MAF a clean with oven cleaner. Also your diesel will be old fill up better to drain and refill I now use BP no more smoke used to use bio diesel a lot more smoke

Checked the hoses this afternoon, all three silicone hoses were secure and hose clamped in position. The line to the turbo's wasgate diarapm was fine too.
I have a Nanocom Evolution, so have e-mailed you. Thank you for offering to look over them.
In order to run the VNT turbo at those sort of pressures you have a boost box fitted, right????
Check the wiring of the boost box....
If everything is allright with the wirings, you can try and remove the boost box and see how the car goes (It should go in to limp mode for excessive turbo pressure, but before it reaches that, you can see how it performs)
