Odd question I know, but whenever I go camping I have canoes on my Roof Rack and 3-4 mountain bikes on a bike rack, and I am yet to find one that I really like.

The bikes never seem to fit properly and I can never comfortably get 4 bikes on to a 4 bike carrier.

I would love to hear from the rest of you what you use and what you think the best ones are - photos would be great.

I use Pro Gear bike carrier I bought from PROGEAR BRAND NEW 3 BICYCLE BIKE RACK HITCH MOUNT CARRIER CAR | eBay

It is solid, and I am happy with it. I use a 4-bike carrier. They do have 2-bike or 3-bike versions too.

I don't think such a rack exists. I favour the wheel support type due to my dislike of supporting carbon fibre frames by their top tubes. I've currently got an Atera Strada rack that I brought over from the UK with me. It's still a struggle to get 3 bikes on their without adjusting saddles and taking a pedal off and it's the best rack I've had. A truly useful, easy to load 4 bike rack would have to be about 1.2m deep IMHO.

The one great thing about the Strada is it actually slides away from the door whilst still on the towball, handy for getting into the back of the car.
