If you aren't planning on reconnecting the EGR in future I'd go the hack on the whole thing.

Cap the outlet on the t-piece between the vacuum pump and brake booster, then you can remove the EGR Modulator and mounting bracket and tuck the wiring out of the way.

If you want to go all out there is a replacement vacuum hose for non-egr D2 Td5's: SQB000280

It looks "proper" without all the disconnected EGR junk just sitting there, and gives you better access to the ancillaries on the inlet side of the motor.

Are u guys with this kit fitted finding that the inlet manifold is slowly "cleaning" itself by digesting all the crap through the engine??

PS only new to forum and site and have read heaps on the blanking kits. Nothing about my query comes up though....

Mine still had the gunk in there after removing the EGR. As there is nothing to dissolve it only air, so no (or very minimal) cleaning can occur. Recommend to clean the sensor that is on the manifold, so that readings aren't askew. 2 x 8mm bolts to undo, looks like Vitol o-ring seal, so just unclip wiring harness, undo, clean with some degreaser and reassemble.

Thanks, have alrady done this to the said sensor, it was disgusting...
Is it a MAP sensor or manifold air temp sensor?
