Cruise Control ECU Diagnostics
Cruise Control has failed on my V8 auto, all vacuum lines appear intact, power to switch.
I have utilized the recently added Search feature and found a copy of a thread with Diagnostics for earlier cruise control, however nothing on later.
Any information?

Had a similar case with a friends Disco 2 V8,even a dealer diagnosed a faulty cruise control actuator?
So we tried some things.
Switches on steering wheel - ok.
Brake switch - ok.
Power and clicking realy sound on passenger feet(LHD Disco) - ok.
Replaced a cruise control ecu just in case but no change.
Eventually it was the brake light lamps, the were once replaced with led ones and the whole system "colapsed",low return voltage from lamps was found to be the problem.
One of the cheapest fixes ever done - but could be one of the priciest diagnosis,we had anoter D2 that we exchanged some parts for trial use till to get to the root of the problem..
Cheers.

All vacuum lines appear ok?
There is 1 vacuum line, it comes from the pump bottom and is only about 250mm long, it bends over and attaches behind the Actuator above the pump. It is one mongrel of a thing to attach to the actuator nipple. unless you have tiny hands
I recently found my hose was cracked on each end, and this caused my CC to not work.

Hello,
Had the same problem with my TD5 it was the brake switch, so a new brake switch problem fixed.
