The single line is available, bought one from Karcraft (Sydney) recently.
However, your Pirtec one was probably still cheaper and, in your case, obviously more readily available - which is important when you're leaking fuel.![]()
Hi All, Recently I discovered a fuel leak in my "03 TD5. On checking I found that the fuel hose to the engine was leaking (yes, to all you TD5 Gurus, the green line from the fuel tank). I went to the local Landrover agent to be told that a replacement line would cost well over $300. That was for ALL four fuel lines out of the fuel pump in the fuel tank, even though only one of my lines was leaking. YES, you HAVE to buy all four.
I then went to Pirtek to find that they could replace my fuel line with a new line with the Landrover connect fittings for just $25.
Is It any wonder that we use the Internet to source cheaper solutionstos our problems.

This happened to me 600km from home. Ended up getting hold of the single green banded pipe from all4x4 Kotara for $30 odd.

how did you blokes fuel hoses get damaged, was it 'rub thru', split or other physical damage.
Is this is only a Discovery problem ?? Havent heard it happening to Defenders , I'm about to head off on a round Aust trip im my Td5 Defender and 'fuel hose' damage isnt something I'd planned for

IIR there was recall requiring the fuel tank to be droped to re-run the hoses as they where found to be rubbing.
A freind had a fuel line rub through on the power cables to the fuel pump on his D2.
A good look front to back is the key when servicing.
Diff/g'box breathers, fuel lines, electical harneses, suspension bolts and more.
Thanks for your response guys.
Yes, it was a rub through leak. I put shielding on the replacement hose.
I have done business with all 4x4 in Kotara. Good ppl to do business with.
Merry Xmas to all.
Hi
we had the same problem on our 02 D2a - pipe rubbed through from contact with another pipe and just pinprick of a hole.
I cut it and used a short length of fuel injection hose with jubille clamps to hold it in place.

All Fourx4 is a good business to get parts through. Quick and reasonable prices for LR Discovery parts; usually arrive within 2 to 3 working days. And no, I don't have an affiliation with them.
Funnily enough, I was talking to my brother in law about his Toyo troopy at Christmas and he was raving about this great place to get parts from for his 78 LC "and they do Land Rover parts as well..." was his comment. "Oh, Fourx4 in Kotara?" was my reply.
Ho BSP, I used to live in the area many yrs ago and used them for parts for my FJ40. Now I live in north Qld and still use them although I usually wait untill I am down there visiting family.
There prices are good and so is their service.
I saved over $100 by purchasing from them instead of buying localy and while I like to support local businesses if I can save that amount of money I will always buy from somewhere else.
Cheers, Rick.
