Hi Hay Ewe, Yes I would have done the same if I was away from home but since I had the leak in my local area I thought it would be better to replace the whole line. I also bought a joiner for the line in case it rubs through again. I am also going to purchase a few meters of spare line and a few joiners in case I have future problems.
Perhaps the LR dealers might look at their prices in light of how easy it is to bypass their extravagant pricing.

    Cheers, Rick.

    Hi Rick,

Which Pirtek branch did you get them from? Any chance you've got a Pirtek part number for the clip on fittings? I tried to source some from the Adelaide Pirtek and I didn't get very far.

    Thanks

    Hi David,
I guess I should have worded the message differently. Pirtek supplied the new fuel line and used the end fittings from the original hose.

    Sorry if I was misleading.

Even so, to remove the fittings from the old line and make up a new line with them for just $25 is not a bad deal.

    Cheers, Rick.

    OK - no problems.

I was after a couple of those special clips because I wanted to re-route one line through an additional fuel/water filter (keeping the OEM filter in line).

Maybe the best option is to get an old loom from TRS and cannibalise from that.

    Cheers
    David

Hi David, yes, that is probably the best thing to do. I am planning on getting the ends from wherever I can (wreckers etc) and the having a length of spare line. That way I will be covered in event of future problems.
    Cheers, Rick.
