    Retro fit electric seats ?

has anyone retrofitted electric seats to a d2 and got the electric heights and adjustments working ?
is all the wiring already inplace or do you need to transplant the wiring loom from a donor car as well ?
do you need to let the BCM know that there are electric seats ?

Not sure about the wiring, since we have so few D2 over here that have manual seats... but Land Rover does seem pretty good about wiring everything else. You might as well pull the window switches out and look for the big plugs for the power seats switches under there.

There are settings in the BCU to enable power seats.

I'm not sure if the wiring is in place for electric seats, but I understand it is for the seat heating. Just check under the seat for the loose plugs.

    Gday Ross
    Merry Christmas!

I've only really just finished this myself.

I went from cloth trim to electric leather. Bought second set of seats. They were electric leather. Had the seat reupholstered.

    Unbolted old seat.

    Bolted in new seat.

Plugged in controller below seat wiring is there.

Had local mechanic tell computer to turn electric seat switch on.

    Bingo it worked.

    SWEEEEETTTTT

Best thing I ever did. We drive LOTS. Missus has crook back. Now she sleeps the whole five hours each trip and doesn't complain about sore back.

I did replace the centre console also after adding some new 12v and replaced it with the electric seat controller holes in it as I'm crap with tools and possibly wouldn't be able to carve out anything workable in the non electric version.

    cheers

nanocom won't save the electric seats yes option. program it, says it is programmed successfully, when i go back in, it still says no electric seats and they don't go

and to top it off, i now have no alarm system, screwed something up

I have a 2003 d2 with fixed seats and would also like to swap out for something more ergonomic. Where did you pick your 2nd hand seats up from? What's a good price to pay?

got them from a wreck a friend of mine had.

not sure what you would pay from a wrecker.
try Bundalene on ebay, he has D2 stuff regularly
