4L and 4H makes no sense on a D2 as they are a permanent 4wd. Your choices are High or Low range with CDL locked or unlocked.
So you had difficulty driving up a steep hill in low with the cdl unlocked or locked?
Was the motor rev'ing out when you had the foot down? Was Traction control operating?
Just trying to ascertain if the issue was a lack of power, excessive slip in the auto or lack of grip and Traction control bringing the D2 to a halt.
