The ETC brakes wheels spinning faster than the average by a certain percentage - something like 5-10% is the threshold.
In Low Range the tolerance for slip is lower than in high range, so probably closer to 5%.

Changing to larger wheels should make no real difference because increasing the size of the tyres just lowers the average speed of the wheels.

Hi All,

It was at Watgan: -33° 3'15.84"S,51°19'30.46"E

Even thought everyone was yelling; there was only 2 guys. One at the top of the hill on the UHF (who didn't know about the TC) and one beside the Disco pretty much giving her positive, calm advice.

The Disco was in low, CDL engaged.

I must remember to lower the revs and wait for it to engage. My fault.

Mate increase revs and hold them increased. Just experiment but the very split second you back off the throttle the etc stops its hard braking momentarily and you can roll back.

I tried to upload a short video, I failed. I have had differing result even when keeping the power on (at a reasonable level). But the whole TC thing works so much better with a CDL.

It's only as good as the health of the braking system matey. Any abs faults logged? Good clean fluid, good rotors and pad combination?
