From what i have seen of tc it was working ok just have to keep the revs a bit longer . wedid that track a couple of weeks ago not bad for a first go
Hi All,
How quick should Traction Control engage?
This is my Disco 2, Td5, Auto, CDL, 2000:

The person giving instructions did not relies the Disco had traction control, so his instructions when to stop came just as the traction control was about/or just engaging. But I still believe that the traction control seems to slow - in my opinion.
Any help, advice would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers.

TC seems to be working as designed; now that the guy who is telling you to stop understands that there is TC involved, I'm sure he will change his advice and let the vehicle progress...

TC seems to be working but she backed off every time it was just kicking in, I'm still getting used to to it myself, it's an odd feeling waiting for it too kick in...
Traction control is fine. Disable spectators though.
I had to turn the sound off - too distracting - if you are going to get someone to guide you fine but use one person not 10.
The traction control was cutting in quite quickly but each time it activated you stopped for some reason - if you had kept on the power (not revving the guts out of it) you would have just driven up with TC doing its thing.
Good learning experience though.

I presume the CDL was engaged?
Love those tyres!
did you turn the uhf off so as not to have to listen to that guy?
tc working fine, would expect with bigger tyres it would affect the system to a degree, how much i have nfi.
where was that?.
Just keep a steady, even pressure on the accelerator and let the T/C do its job.
The T/C works of the ABS, it senses that you have your foot down so you obviously want to go somewhere but the spinning wheel is stopping you so the T/C applies the brake to that spinning wheel to force drive to the wheels with grip. On and off with the accelerator just confuses the computer.
It's a bit disconcerting at first but once you understand how it works it makes sense.
Too many chiefs was the problem.
Cheers
