Removing manifold is easy enough, the studs may be a different story though

well finally got round to ripping off the warped manifold. i have a few broken studs! and it seems my 'oil leak' is actually the oil that runs through here from the turbo coming out of the warped/blowing part of the manifold! so hopefully this is two birds with one stone getting fixed! it explains why with all the oil everywhere, the engine oil levels actually never drop! also found 2 bits where coolant is seeping from in moving a hose in the way!
manifold is going to get machined and i will remove the webbing. I think i read somewhere too, that the end stud holes on the manifold should be made larger to allow for expanding of the manifold and prevent further cracking/warping?

I also have one other issue, the 40 amp fuse in the engine bay that says for 'cooling fan' keeps blowing. my wiring all looks fine. anybody had any similar issues with this particular fuse blowing? it must be shorting out somewhere as it is instant.

the photo is before all the studs were removed, and its all cleaned up now ready for manifold to go back on. there are 3 broken ones to drill out though still.

You've dug this out of the archive!

Glad you've got it all off and are in the process of sorting it

Not sure about the fuse ... could it be a poor earth?
