Leaking fuel line
Hi All,
Have a leaking fuel line on my D2 TD5, looks like between fuel pump and filter above tank, what is the best form of attack in fixing it, I have since found out the green banded line rubs through and leaks, can I replace it without removing the tank.
Help please

PLenty of threads on this D2 forum. Do a search.
in a nutshell no you don't need to drop the tank. Takes about 20 mins, including carpet and fuel pump cover removal and grit cleaning around the joins. Don't forget to wrap it.

Hey Bobkins,
I Had this the other day on mine.(I only had a butterknife on me and a steak knife to undo fuel pump cover and cut the hose). I temp fitted a airhose fitting to it for 5/16 hose which got me 9 hours home without leaking. I then bought a britpart kit consisting of 4 hoses for mine and replaced them all and wrapped them in 5/16th rubber hose so no more chaffing. kit cost me $200, but I need ASAP. No need to drop the tank either simply job.
cheers

Leaking fuel line
Thanks for all the advice,
I did find some good repair photo's by doing a search. I decided to drop the tank to get a good look at it all and found the usual green tagged H.P line was the one that had warn through. I have now purchased the new line and intend to sleeve it before putting it in, while the tank is out I am going to make dam sure it never happens again by sleeve all the lines and cable tie them so there is no movement at all, I will post pictures of the results.
Cheers.

Also follow the fuel lines up towards the engine bay,it passes through a bracket not far past the rear axle that can rub through the fuel line as well....

Yep I did see the other spot wear the fuel line runs under a bracket near the rear axle, this is where the new green line I replaced connects, bad spot to have a connection, I will shield the line there as well
Cheers
