ive got 285/60/R18 on my D2.
also has a 2inch lift if that makes a difference.
Hi all, Can some one tell me if a set of 265/60/18 will fit under my d2 without hitting the guards? There are not many options when it comes to the original size 255/55/18. I'm looking for an AT tyre. Have thought about a smaller rim tyre set up, any suggestions?
Thanks
Ps no lift only standard suspension. Standard air bag rear if that makes a difference.

According to Wim van Doorst's Disco tyre guide, they will fit no problems.

Thanks Slunnie and Eevo,
Eevo i think the 2 inch lift will make a difference.
Slunnie thanks for pointing me to the report.
The tyre place is happy to do a trial fitment to see if anything is going to get in the way. Didn't want to waste their time.
Thanks

Wim developed it probably 10 years ago when 33's were massive and exceptional, and Greg Davis in the US had totally blown everybody away by cutting 35's in. It was the most awesome and comprehensive tyre fitment guide for Disco2's back then, and I think it still is. Everybody knows about his CalVIN which tells you all about your car based on its VIN number, but the Disco2 tyre guide seems to be his best kept secret these days.

I fitted a set of 265 60 R18s on my Disco 2 last year and have no problem with rubbing.
The fronts sometimes just touch on full lock but not enough to worry about.
My D2 is just below standard height, I just fitted a bar that brought it down a couple of mm.

Hi Scottf1973,
Good to hear. What tyre did you go with?
good to hear, as i need some new rubber and struggling to find decent 4x4 tyres in 255/55/R18. i have a mate at Bridgestone that can get me the new 697's in 265/60 R18's cheaply, but had to see if they fitted.
Hi Brougham ,
I was looking at those as well. I think they were $444 a corner.
Mickey Thompson STZ were $409 a corner
Cooper AT3 were $400 a corner
So i have a choice to make. Not sure yet which ones.
